Rosewood Mansion Restaurant: A Review
June 21st, 2021
One of the original high-end Dallas restaurants, the Rosewood Mansion is a beautiful example of luxury dining. From the moment you walk into the moment you leave, the staff provides anything you could imagine.
Driving into the beautiful entryway enchants you. The french style front mixed with the greenery of Turtle Creek gives the restaurant a restored field. With its old-world glamour and antique details, stepping into the restaurant is like going back into the world of the roaring 20s.
But more important than the architecture and atmosphere is the phenomenal food at the center of it all. Executive Chef Sebastien Archambault uses his Texas childhood and french culinary background to his advantage. His menu showcases both southwestern flavor and opulent french food. In addition, he uses the best meats and locally sourced vegetables to curate a wonderful dining experience.
During my dinner, my friend and I decided to start with the charcuterie board. The board was a nice spread of spicy pickled sausages, pistachio cherry pork paté (my personal favorite), lamb, and salami. All of which was paired with tasty acidic mustard and bread.
My next course was the kurobuta pork chop. The meat was tender, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Next, my friend ordered the 8 oz beef tenderloin and found it was tender, sweet, and a fantastic cut of meat. We also shared the steak fries, which were seasoned to perfection with paprika. The potatoes were soft on the inside while keeping a nice crunch on the outside.
For our last course, we both had flourless chocolate cakes with vanilla ice cream with passion fruit cremé. The chocolate cake was so rich and dense, the perfect texture for this type of cake. The passion fruit added a much-needed sweetness to combat the richness of the chocolate. I’ll be dreaming (and drooling) about this desert for years to come!
Overall, we had a wonderful night at the Rosewood Mansion and would gladly go back again.
Always busy,
Sam
