Snow in Dallas!

February 14th -21st, 2021

Snow On Sunday

As most of you have heard, throughout Texas, we received a record amount of snow. Whenever I see snow in our forecast, I half expect it to change before snow ever actually happens. Texas weather is notoriously unpredictable and can change quickly from day to day. Sometimes, it may change tremendously within the same day. As the old saying goes, “If you don’t like the weather, just wait five minutes.”

However, this past week was not the case! We received about 4 inches of snow on Sunday during a real-life blizzard and another inch on Wednesday. As someone who has never experienced a blizzard, this was truly something to marvel at. Our backyard and deck were covered in a white snow blanket while all the roads were caked in ice and snow.

Our dogs had the time of their lives. As both of them are technically cold weather dogs, Fella and Bernie had a great time running and playing in the snow. Every time we brought them inside, they would sit by the door excited to go back out. I’ve never seen our two puppies so wired.

Thankfully, we were lucky enough to not be affected by any power outages or pipes bursting. It is terrible that our state did not prepare for an event like this, but all we can do know if help the affected people how we can and hope they can get to a better place. Below I have linked some websites that will direct you on how you can help the people affected by the snowstorm.

Blizzard

Either way, it was exhilarating to see our city in a state like this. We are not a cold-weather area, so snowfall is far and few between. When it does happen, I can’t help but feel like I’m in a completely different city.

Always Busy,

Sam
